With a steady stream of incoming development projects in a growing number of categories, combined with added focus on end-user insights and design efforts into predevelopment projects we need to strengthen our Design team in Hillerstorp with an experienced Industrial Designer.
As an Industrial Designer, you will take an active role in product development projects. This means developing product functionality, based on consumer insight, and the visual design language through vast iterative ideation at the early stages, and creating detailed and validated solutions in the latter.
To succeed in this role you need to be an Industrial Designer with a strong interest to understand and empathize with the user together with a keen interest to create great long-lasting products. You have a strong understanding of design principles, a developed aesthetic sense, a creative mindset, and excellent problem-solving skills. Furthermore, you have advanced skills in sketching and visualizing and are comfortable working with hands-on development building mock-ups and prototypes. You are also familiar with relevant manufacturing processes as they pertain to product design.
You have an academic degree in related fields and some years of relevant work experience, preferably within the consumer products field for high-volume production. Experience in Soft goods design is a plus. We require excellent communication skills in English and we expect you to be comfortable facilitating workshops and creating convincing visual and verbal presentations.
