Munters is a world leading supplier of energy efficient air treatment solutions. Through innovative technology, our experts create a perfect climate for customers in most industries. Munters has been a pioneer in the field of air environment since the company was founded in 1955. Today, manufacturing and sales take place in more than 30 countries by our approximately 3,100 employees.
The company has two business areas, FoodTech and AirTech. In this role, you will be part of AirTech, which is a global leader in energy efficient air treatment for industrial and commercial applications. We offer climate solutions for business critical processes that require precise control of humidity and temperature, with energy efficiency and sustainable climate systems in focus.
The site in Kista has 180 employees and offers newly renovated premises, tailored to the company’s needs. Open office spaces and meeting rooms are combined with social areas where you can play a game of table tennis or sit and socialize on the lovely rooftop terrace. Adjacent to the office, a few stairs down, you find our new laboratory.

Job description
As an Industrial Designer you will be a great part of our new team focusing on building the future products and services for Munters. Here you will be able to have a big impact on what we build and how we build it. You will be working in different projects with focus on developing our dehumidifiers. In the projects you guide the product development from initial research and concepts to successful products. You work with the product throughout the entire design and production process from early stage concept illustration to sample creation and serial production. You will be challenged to identify meaningful insights from user observation, technology trends, changes in society and shifting business models and translate them into appealing design proposals, excellent user experiences, innovative features and sustainable products with superior perceived quality.

The position furthermore includes:
• Maintain a continued understanding of the competition, industry, standards and relevant trends
• Achieve a consistent design in the whole product range by interpreting the Product design strategy and guideline
• Continuously innovate new product designs, create and iterate design intention through sketches, prototypes, renderings and communication
• Contribute to the Product Design strategy and guideline
• Contribute for creation of packaging design
• Be a strong contributor to creating sustainable design
• Communication with both internal and external stakeholders
• Possible business travel for up to 20% of the working time

Your profile
We are looking for you who are creative, solution-oriented and who is not afraid to take own initiatives. You are a person who is constantly looking for new ideas to further develop concepts, improve existing products and services as well as improving the business. You have a great drive, are self-managing and motivated. You have good communication skills and enjoy collaborating with different stakeholders in the projects. You are an innovator and can clearly communicate these through visualizations and rapid prototyping. You’re comfortable in a work environement where not all processes are pre-defined, you know how to organize work and lead design efforts according to tight schedules.

For this position you need to have:
• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree within Industrial Design / Design engineering / Product Design or related discipline
• 5+ years of design experience, preferably within product design from a tech/industrial company and B2B
• Experience from working in a cross functional team
• Experience within designing hardware products
• Excellent feeling for form, proportions, and CMF
• Strong understanding of global trends & technology
• Knowledge about manufacturing processes and materials
• Experience in using tools like Solid Works, Key-shot, Adobe Creative Cloud (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Xd), Figma and Miro
• Professional language skills in English, both verbally and in writing; Swedish language is a plus
• Willingness and possibility to travel to spend time onsite with users
