Transmission Manufacturing is a key player in this transformation and is right now in an expansive and exciting phase where we lay the foundations for Scania's future transmission & eMobility production. In the next coming years we will launch new generations of conventional and electrified gearboxes and axle platforms, and we are continuously challenging our current way of working to ensure world-class production.

Your team, consisting of 15-17 motivated team members including two team leaders, will be responsible for running both large and small development projects, for example investments and pre studies, but also continuously strive to improve efficiency within our current manufacturing processes. In this role you will join a highly motivated team that will play an important role in Scania’s shift towards sustainable products and production.
Our current project portfolio contains everything from large eMobilty and transmission projects where we need to set whole new manufacturing strategies, to smaller projects like replacing worn out machinery or implement new components in our current structure.
As Industrial Engineering Manager your responsibilities will be to:

• Coach the engineers reporting to you
• Secure development and competence of your employees
• Set a vision and long term plan for your area of responsibility in cooperation with production and maintenance managers
• Act as chairman in the Workshop Management Team

• Develop working methods and improve processes to further improve efficiency and quality of your teams’ deliveries
• Work closely with R&D to secure timing and quality when implementing new products
• Work with our internal operation as well as with external suppliers to secure that we meet our global capacity targets

We are looking for a manager with minimum 2 years of successful leadership experience and a positive attitude. An academic background and experience from industrial engineering is beneficial. As a Manager you’re focusing on the overall picture but are able and interested in understanding the details when needed. You value transparency, engagement and are involved in your team. You also work proactively to mitigate risks and have an “act now”-mentality when deviations occur.
