You will be based at Tetra Pak CE and have a desk at LTH for monthly department meetings, PhD courses and other research related activities.As an Industrial PhD student you will be working 100% with you research project, which means no teaching or administrative duty are included.
Our role is to support projects, package specification owners as well as product management with package concepts and innovation.As the Carton Economy key markets are outside of Europe, some travel is part of our work.
The primary objective of this 2 year industrial thesis is to do research in the packaging logistics area in order to increase the customer value for carton economy customers search for low cost packaging solutions primarily on developing markets.
The research is divided into three secondary objectives:
- What is a preferred procedure when designing secondary packaging on developing markets 2009?
- What does increase in package quality mean to Tetra Pak Carton Economy customers?
- What is an appropriate approach for product development when aiming at an increased package quality and shorten the package development lead time?
Kvalifikationer
We believe you are an analytical person interested in a deep dive into packaging logistics in developing countries.You are expected to continuously share your findings with your stakeholders so good communication skills, both verbal and written Swedish and English, are essential.
To act as a bridge between Industry and Academia you need to have a high drive and be a good team-player.With high curiosity you are ready for a new challenge.
You have a MSc, preferably in the area of packaging logistics, food engineering or environmental science.Industrial working experience is a merit.If you have a BSc, at least 2 years industrial working experience within a relevant area is a must.Simulation competence is beneficial.
