Chalmers, one of the major technical universities in Sweden, has a long tradition of research and education within most technical diciplines. The Department of Signals and Systems (S2), is engaged in both fundamental and applied research in key areas of Information and Communication Technology (ICT). Cross-disciplinary research is central and encouraged through projects across different groups within the Department. In total around 140 persons are active at the four divisions of the department.
Information about the research/the project/the division
The research project will deal with further developments of the theoretical foundations for OTA performance testing of small wireless devices.

Major responsibilities
Your major responsibilities as PhD student is to pursue your own doctoral studies. You are expected to develop your own scientific concepts and communicate the results of your research verbally and in writing, in English.
The position generally also includes teaching on Chalmers' undergraduate level corresponding to around 10 per cent of working hours.
Position summary
Industrial PhD: Full time employment for up to 4 years. Initial test period of 3 months. The working place will be divided between Bluetest AB and Chalmers.
Qualifications
Master level degree in Electronic Engineering, Applied Physics or related field. Excellent academic record is a requirement. Work experience highly valued.
Mandatory experiences and skills:
• Very good written and spoken English
• Confidence with MATLAB programming or similar
Meritorious experiences and skills:
• Fluent or interest in the Swedish language
• Experience and knowledge of Korean, Japanese or Chinese language
• Building system architectures and anatomies for new industrial products including both hardware and software.
