Our Exciting Opportunity!
At Ericsson Research we invent the future. Our research teams develop and master state-of-the-art concepts that shape today’s and tomorrow’s mobile radio communication systems.
We are looking for fresh Ph. D’s who would like to gain hands-on experience from industrial research and share their cutting-edge knowledge with us. The opportunity is a 10-month industry postdoc program in one of our Radio Research teams in Kista. During the program you will work together with our researchers on a topic that we define together based on our ongoing research and your knowledge and skills. You get the opportunity to work with our state-of-the art simulation tools and models as well as get training in advanced practical topics within radio communication. You will also get to network with our industry-shaping researchers who have defined cellular systems from 2G to 5G
At Ericsson Research Radio we perform research on advanced radio access networks systems, physical layers as well as multi-antenna concepts and algorithms. Our research is targeting standardization, an invention of proprietary solutions, and pushing the frontiers in future wireless communication theory.
You will have the opportunity to get an insight into our 5G and 6G research on the physical layer and system aspects for communication concepts targeting mobile broadband, cellular IoT, Industry 4.0 MTC, and new connectivity scenarios.

You will
Investigate and evaluate concepts for future radio access technologies and standards such as 6G
Master physical layer and radio resource management techniques
Use and develop simulation tools for evaluating new cutting-edge ideas
Ensure that proposed access solutions provide superior performance
Report to Research manager


To be successful in the role you must have
A Ph.D. degree
Previous experience in at least one of the following areas: wireless communications, signal processing, automatic control, machine learning, computer science, statistical modeling, engineering physics
Proficiency in English, both written and spoken
Creativity and ability to work independently
Personal drive and focus on the tasks at hand
