Northvolt has exciting job offers for Industrialization Manager to join our bold Battery Systems team in Stockholm.
In joining us you will play an important part from the very start in developing a new generation of battery system and building a large scale European battery factory. The Industrialization Manager will be expert in one or several defined process areas which includes deep knowledge in battery systems prototype/production process and equipment development, prototype program development, design for manufacturability, and new product industrialization. You will play an important role to interface with equipment suppliers and to collaborate with Northvolt process and factory design teams to efficiently integrate the process, equipment, and factory.
Using technical and communication skills to optimize production processes by early involvement during the design phases of battery systems products. You can leverage your influence by coaching the Industrialization team and being an ambassador for Design for Manufacturability, Assembly and Test.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Draft Manufacturing Instructions
Interface between cross function teams for prototyping
Design for manufacturability, assembly, and test and Lean manufacturing
Develop Launch plan including key production milestones (line/prototype trials)
Translate manufacturing engineering roadmap and needs into work packages
Define build objectives (quantities, measurement points, roles and responsibilities for build team members, etc.)
Development of a traceability /data collection system for prototype line
Initiate manufacturing technology innovations and oversee the implementation.
Lead cross functional teams to resolve issues that arise during builds.
Summarize and Analyze builds.
Delivery and Operation of Prototype Lines
Maintenance and Sustaining of Prototype Lines
Prototype Trials and Experiments
Support projects where required during Advance Product Quality Planning or optimization of supplier production processes.
ensure adherence to the applicable process for product introductions, qualifications and release

Skills & Requirements
Education/Experience
BSc or MSc degree in Mechanical / Manufacturing Engineering
3+ years of relevant work experience within new equipment development
Proven successful leadership in a multicultural environment
Familiar with DOE and SPC
Familiar with DFMEA and QA troubleshooting tools
Successful track record of leading product, process, equipment develop projects in prototype and production factories
Experience with evolving products, processes, and equipment from prototype scales to production scales in a fast-growing environment ideally in the Food, Pharma, Paper & Pulp, Semiconductor, Electrochemical or similar industry
Curious, technically educated
Experience and interest in manufacturing industry is a plus
