You will enter a leadership position, develop your team and ensure the industrialization of Electric Drive Units for our future vehicle programs in Volvo Cars Propulsion Components plant.The position is based in Skövde, Sweden and will require some travel to our different sites worldwide.
What you’ll do
As Manufacturing Engineering Manager of Propulsion Component Industrialization team in VCPC (Skövde), you will be leading a team of engaged engineers working for the optimized process design, line installation & commissioning for our EDU processes in the plant. You are in close collaboration with other Manufacturing Engineering functions, Shop Management, Program Managers and the HQ in Gothenburg to ensure we meet the highest process standards and the plant prerequisites.
You are expected to hold the ownership of process design and ensure process changes in the plant for the future and ongoing vehicle programs, with your team. The main responsibility for Industrialization is to implement vehicle programs, change orders and process changes in respective production site. The Industrialization team also actively participates in the work to define and maintain technical and commercial strategies within each area. The Industrialization Manager reports to Manufactuirng Engineering Propulsion Components Industrialization Director and as part of the management team you are not only representing your team but you are also expected to bring both ideas and engagement for the complete unit in your vehicle plant.

We believe you possess solid leadership skills as well as an interest and ability to motivate, coach and develop people and teams around you. To be successful you need to be a team-oriented person with good communication and cooperation, as well as pedagogical skills.
You encourage new thinking in those around you and you build excitement to explore the possibilities of new ways of working. You know to translate the excitement into positive action through feedback and encouragement giving your team the latitude to get the work done.
Fluency in English, both written and spoken is required for the role.
