What’s in it for you?
We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Industrial/Principal Engineer to join the group Battery & Harness Workshop at Volvo Cars Headquarters in Gothenburg.
The group Battery & Harness Workshop is responsible for the preparation of the electric propulsion test objects, developing requirements, target setting and the verification process of components and systems.
What you’ll do
As an Industrial Engineer, you will act as a “go to” person who will secure implementation, develop methods and routines, and communicate the special needs and resolve key technical issues.
You will provide in depth competence to be able to define the correct applications as well as to be supporting in both development phases and aftermarket. You will also internally secure that we use the same processes and methods in all projects, secure that lessons learned are addressed and externally communicate our objectives and requirements to secure robust technical solutions.
You will work in close cooperation with development teams, test and lab groups, quality departments and others as part of your daily work. Creating and maintaining network with external parties is also an important part of the assignment.
You and your skills
We believe you have a BSc degree in Mechatronic/Electric or equivalent, as well as experience in industrial electronics and/or electric powertrain.
It is vital that you show demonstrated initiative and capability to provide leadership and support within the technical area, to assure the delivery of technology transfer and/or programs, as well as the ability to lead a technical team, develop requirements, and design guidelines. You will also need experience of applicable design, analysis, verification, quality, and assembly methods. Furthermore, it is very desirable if you have experience and knowledge of agile working methods, value streams and Safe/ Lean development.
On a personal level, we believe that you are a positive team player and a highly motivated person with a strong approach and the ability to interact with other groups and departments in various parts of Volvo Cars. You are eager to work in a group and can cooperate and communicate easily with other people.
