5G is redefining society and is creating significant new value for Ericsson in traditional telecoms markets and the rapidly expanding enterprise sector. As well as increasing our exposure to new market competition, geopolitical risk, and commercial opportunity, it has also created an inflection point for how we communicate and engage with a wide and complex body of external partners and decision-makers.
Industry Analysts are a key external partner group who influence Ericsson’s brand position as well as influence customer decisions. It is vital they have a clear understanding of the Ericsson Strategy and Portfolio to build advocacy for Ericsson via the channels they communicate through, namely research reports, Advise Services, Media interviews, Event Presentations, etc.
This role has the global responsibility for driving a strong Industry Analyst relations agenda in support of our business objectives. The team is tasked with building the right understanding and perception of Ericsson’s capabilities and differentiation in the market and will be a key part in supporting Ericsson’s ambition to grow in both our core business and in targeted areas.
The position is responsible for leading the work with mapping analysts’ insights and perception of Ericsson’s capabilities with the Group’s portfolio roadmap and developing action plans to bridge gaps between external perceptions and the company’s wanted positions.
The industry analyst team is responsible for planning and executing on a relationship plan with key analysts, as well as respond to requests.
You will
Develop and contribute to Ericsson’s global Industry Analyst program
Map analyst perceptions with Ericsson's portfolio roadmap and create an action plan for interaction
Identify key analysts, understand their agenda, and work to influence the right perception of Ericsson and Ericsson’s offering and competitive differentiation
Plan interactions; whom to meet with, setup, context, what to push for
Perform briefings on a regular basis with key analysts, and respond to research requests etc.
Identify and coach Ericsson’s spokespeople, both Executives and Domain Experts, towards the industry analyst community
To be successful in the role you must have
Experience of working with digital media campaigns to reach influencers and opinion formers and be comfortable developing strategic insight to drive high profile Industry Analyst engagement.
Created the momentum to change the culture and ways of working inside large organizations
Passion for global business affairs and geopolitical debates
Creativity to innovate new narratives and messages and delivery in traditional and new media environments
A record of influencing executive opinion, advising and crafting approaches to leading high stakes commercial issues
Fluent in written and spoken English. Additional language skills – including Swedish/Scandinavian languages - a benefit
Cross-cultural working agility and understanding what it takes to get the best from different working styles and environments
Strong Ericsson portfolio awareness
Significant experience working with industry analysts, trade media or other external partners
