Arbetsbeskrivning

Sandvik is currently on a digitalization journey where innovations and sustainable ideas will take our manufacturing and supply chain towards a successful future. Our Rock Tools Global Operations organization, part of Sandvik Mining and Rock Solutions, is now looking for an Information Manager – someone who truly understands how strong Information and Data management capabilities supports our everyday work and overall success. You’ll be a key player in enabling, facilitating and driving agile and controlled business changes globally, using information technology to maximize business value.

We have a lot of exciting work ahead in terms of figuring out all the newborn possibilities that come with the rapidly changing digital landscape. To handle challenges in preserving information, organizing and investigating how to make it more accessible is where you come in. You’re visionary and innovative, and you have the ability to gather support for change and to initiate and drive real progress. We want your solid expertise and in return, we offer you to become part of a motivated, competent and inspiring team – striving to be the best in class! So, are you an excellent enabler with skills in governance and supporting strong collaborations, ready to enable us to use our data assets in the right way? Then this might be the perfect opportunity for you!

About the role
At Sandvik Rock Tools, we are on a journey to develop and mature our Information and Data management capabilities to ensure that we constantly evolve towards a more data-driven organization that benefit from sharing information with our users, suppliers and customers. For data to become the strategic asset it is, we strive to develop our data and information management processes and governance. In this brand-new position, you play an instrumental role in the development. Initially you make sure data considerations are built into our project management and delivery model – bridging our business and the world of information technology together. Being our person when it comes to information management, you secure implementation of Sandvik Information Governance framework and policy and support and develop our Business Information Model. Joining us, you become part of a global network, sharing your visions and working in close collaboration with our information owners and data creators.

As you’re facilitating, mobilizing and implementing our information and data management processes, you also co-operate with other strategic corporate projects to align the work forward. Intercultural communication is a natural part of your job, that’s why you really need to enjoy connecting with colleagues and partners worldwide. Creating business awareness of opportunities related to integrated information management, data exchange, digital technologies, artificial intelligence and analytical capabilities is on your daily schedule, and some of your other primary duties include driving standardization and harmonization in our business reports, KPIs and analytics. Driving business value creation based on existing and future data is also a central part of your job.

You have flexible working conditions, although your base is either in Stockholm/Västberga or Sandviken, where we have our major production hubs. Some travel is normally included to meet all parts of our global business and get a deeper understanding of their information technology needs.

Your character
This job requires a solid background in a larger company and familiarity with ERP systems, preferably SAP S4/Hana. You hold a university degree (MSc) with relevant specialization in IT, Business or Engineering. You have approximately five years of work experience from a suitable position, knowing how to balance the business demands with the need to coordinate across the business area and understand the benefits of working in a true global organization. Of course, you have excellent skills in verbal and written English while we see Swedish as beneficial.

To succeed in this position, you’re striking the perfect balance between an analytical mindset and the power of initiative. Being business savvy and having a tactical approach, you can break down complex areas and turn them into clear roadmaps and actions. You understand the operational part and gather support for the changes and initiatives to drive long-term progress. It’s essential that you understand the core of IT architecture and processes and how they are linked, to cooperate with the developers and other stakeholders effectively. As this is a role with an extensive network and many contacts on a global level, you’re confident and act as a culture-inclusive collaborator who naturally takes the lead and enjoys a bit of time in the spotlight. Being a team player is obvious for you – our team believes that the best people develop through a culture of health, innovation, accountability and performance. We aim to act as role models and ensure adherence to The Sandvik Way!

What we offer
Sandvik is a high-tech and global engineering group, rapidly developing into new, digital offerings. We believe in a collaborative and inclusive culture – where we support each other, learn together and celebrate teamwork, and where innovations are part of everyday life. For us, it’s clear that our diversities form a solid foundation for achieving great results. We believe that diversity of experience, perspective, and background leads to a better environment for our employees, our business, and our customers. We’re looking forward to meeting you!
