We are now looking for an Infrastructure & Automations Engineer to work as part of our Infrastructure team in the CTS department. The CTS department is responsible for the Paradox Ecosystem which provides a variety of services and products to Paradox’s various Game Studios. These products and services comprise the Paradox ecosystem which includes the Paradox Account service, Paradox Mods, cross-platform multiplayer, social/player features (leaderboards, cloud saves, forums, etc.), the Paradox Store, the Paradox Game SDK, and much more!
In this role you will work on various development projects focused on delivering new and updated features for players, Paradox game studios, and internal tools. You will be part of a team tasked with designing, building, and shaping the effort in realizing features which enrich our Paradox ecosystem. This also means that you will be working closely with all of the Paradox game development studios, as well as the publishing organization, in order to maximize the consumption of our services to guarantee we continue delivering Paradox signature experiences.
As part of the Infrastructure team you will work on our Paradox live environments, and its related services. Your day to day activities will include monitoring, building and maintaining services, scripts, and cloud functions related to online services, as well as internal libraries and utilities shared within the department. This will also include maintaining the automated build and deployment pipeline.
Responsibilities (among other things):
Manage CI/CD orchestration, allowing developers to focus purely on business delivery (e.g. automatically build commits, run tests, deploy to environments)
Manage Service orchestration and management (e.g. logging, monitoring, updates, etc.)
Scaling and distribution of platforms and services, both internal and player-facing
Balancing environment resiliency and graceful service degradation
Infrastructure platform management, as well as providing cloud native expertise to other teams
Managing production environments and responding to related issues/incidents
Enhance current automation tools and introduce automation to replace manual processes
Continuous Infrastructure development and improvements (current and future solutions)
Creating solutions for other partners/teams consumption
Support and mentor other team members through knowledge sharing and coaching
Qualifications:
5+ years of professional experience, preferably in a services team
5+ years hands-on experience in cloud operational infrastructure and services
Experience working within one or more public cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP, etc.)
Working knowledge of Terraform and Kubernetes
Comfortable with a range of programming languages and technologies
Coding/scripting knowledge for automation of infrastructure
Experience with agile development
Proficient with code versioning tools, such as Git or similar frameworks
Experience for mentoring other members of the team
