But maybe you don't know how we're committed to creating games for every platform—from social to mobile to console—to give our consumers that anytime, anywhere access they demand. What does that mean for you? It means more opportunities to unleash your creative genius, be inspired by those around you and ignite your path in any direction you choose.
SEED and the Challenge Ahead
SEED is an innovation and applied research hub in EA Worldwide Studios. We bring together world-class talent and experts to explore, build, and help define the future of interactive entertainment. Our work combines creativity with state-of-the-art technologies.
We deliver and foster innovation through research, prototypes, exploration, and integration with game teams. Our bedrock is never-ending curiosity. We collaborate with industry partners, and we publish and present our research within our industry and to the public. Our recent work includes: bringing digital humans and characters to life; using machine learning for game AI and testing; and developing novel real-time graphics and physics techniques.
We are looking for an Infrastructure Engineer to design, build, and deploy infrastructure and cloud systems for the SEED team. You will have the opportunity to influence cutting-edge work being done in areas such as ML-based testing, cinema-quality avatars, and advanced rendering techniques.
What does an Infrastructure Engineer do at SEED?
Act as an expert for infrastructure and cloud knowledge in the SEED organization
Design and evolve ML-based researcher workflows through custom tools and software, where your work will enable researchers and engineers to build production ML/DL models at scale
Build high-performance machine learning pipelines, integrations with cloud APIs, and object storage caches
Be responsible for operating cloud infrastructures and Kubernetes clusters in Europe and North America
Collaborate with other infra engineers and researchers
Work with diverse and flexible cross-functional teams where you will bring your expertise in infrastructure
Guide artists, machine learning researchers, and graphics collaborators to the right decisions when it comes to infrastructure and how they can leverage it for performance, scaling, and integration with game teams
Work with game teams and central technology groups to understand needs and collaborate with engineers in overlapping areas
From time to time you may be asked to contribute your work directly to the games being developed
Ultimately you will be a catalyst for our researchers, enabling them to do more and succeed. At SEED we have deep expertise in real-time rendering and machine learning, so we hope you'll be excited to learn about those fields too.
