Infrastructure Operations Engineer

Your future tasks
In your role at G+D you will hold a technical position to manage day-to-day operations in our cloud- and datacenters. You will also be a team member of Service Delivery Operations and work close to your colleagues (Database Engineers, R&D, Design architects) in customer delivery projects and internal/strategic project.
This is an excellent opportunity for you to gain Telecommunications industry experience and develop your Oracle database knowledge.
Among other things you will also do:
Day-to-day operations as part of incident, problem and change management
Asset and configuration management in accordance with ITSM tools & processes (Service Now)
Maintenance, troubleshooting, backup and monitoring of our infrastructure & services in a geo redundant environment
Continuous service improvement with focus on optimization, efficiency and high availability
Coding & scripting of automation and scale out solutions
Evaluation and introduction of new technologies, in collaboration with Design Architects and Service Design Specialists

Who you are?
You have an University degree in Computer Sciences, IT or related technical/engineering field
You have experience from a similar position, in a cloud or datacenter environment (or willed to gain and/or professionalize your skills and knowledge in the area)
You have good understanding of complex network and infrastructure setups (geo redundancy), compliance and information security requirements in service operations
As a person you are analytical thinking, problem-solving and have an ownership mentality. You drive for self-learning and improvement and you consider yourself to be a team player
Proficient in English both written and verbal

Technologies
ITIL v3 foundation certification
Oracle database
OpenShift / Kubernetes
Windows Server
Linux skills, preferred RHEL and RH Satellite
Good knowledge in Ansible, Terraform, Jenkins, Nagios/Icinga, Commvault, Splunk (at least two)
Good coding & scripting skills
Good knowledge in VMware Products as (vCenter, vSphere, PowerCLI, etc.)
