Infrastructure SME / DevOps Engineer

Job description
Retailer Excellence cluster supports the interaction between customers and retailers.
You will be involved in kick-starting a new greenfield initiative which aims to integrate multiple full-stack retailer tools under one roof using micro-frontend architecture. The key components of this architecture are authentication, role management and inter-service communication using REST, Kafka, gRPC and GraphQL and deployed in Azure Cloud.
You're going to join our infrastructure engineering team and support large groups of developers in other product teams by improving the developer experience of working on developing new platform. You will gather feedback from teams on areas of improvements but also be able to individually identify projects with a large impact.
You're going to be the star who saves thousand of minutes in time by automating a process that is being done over and over manually or by making the CI/CD run in a couple of seconds.
You and your skills
To be qualified in this role, you need to take charge and be a team player. You should be able to develop and create commitment. It is important that you have integrity and a change management mind-set.
Requirements
· High knowledge and deep understanding of Git and GitHub Actions
· Experience in Microsoft Azure infrastructure
· DevOps and Infrastructure as code experience
· Kubernetes/docker experience
· Experience in building CI/CD pipelines (ArgoCD)
· Willingness to enable and encourage other teams to succeed, using a hands-on, pairing approach when necessary
· Good communication skills in English (both verbal and written)
Desired
· Software developer background with experience in writing code in javascript/typescript mainly for Node.js
· Experience working in a Platform team
· Familiarity with other cloud service providers like AWS and GCP
· Experience working with Bakery in Azure or AWS
