Infrastructure & Operations Specialist at Owens Corning/Paroc

In this role, you will be located at our Skövde or Hällekis site in Sweden. You will be part of Owens Corning’s Global Information Services (GIS) function. GIS provides a technology platform that supports the company’s growing global business needs.
Your role as an Infrastructure & Operations Professional is a project focused position where you will be responsible for delivering projects that bring a high level of productivity to our employees and sites in the European region.
Projects can include, but are not limited to - setting architecture direction, improving Infrastructure & Operations support delivery, understanding the unique needs of our varied pan-Europe footprint, and deploying technology that keeps our environment contemporary and supportive of the current and evolving needs of our EU business.
You will also act as a liaison between support teams and a defined set of Paroc business stakeholders in Sweden, Norway and Denmark, owning the infrastructure & operations business relationship in this area. An important part of the role is also to continually assess and improve the performance of the IT infrastructure & operations service.
To be successful in this role, you should have a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field or related experience. It would be of merit if you are also ITIL V3 Foundation Certified.
Ideally, you have at least 3-5 years’ experience in a business or customer facing service delivery function. You should have experience from leading or participating in infrastructure projects and it is of merit if you have formal training in Project Management.
You bring strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to present the results to different level of audiences. As you will be liaising with various stakeholders, it is very important that you have excellent interpersonal communication skills and you are able to build effective relationships across functions and countries. For this role, it is essential that you have good Swedish and English skills. Knowledge of other European languages would be beneficial. Some travel will be required in the role.
