THE POSITION: The company is looking for a Purchase Development Manager to be a key person within their Global Purchasing Organisation.
You will work with new major product introductions in close co-operation with the D&E resources, product owners and your team of purchasing engineers.
In addition you will support /drive supplier development and supplier selection from a production engineering qualification perspective.This involves driving change and develop processes, design and supplier base in order to reduce our total cost.

Other central tasks and responsibilities are:

- Manage and develop a team of Purchasing Engineers to reach set targets (drive excellence in Purchasing development)
- Coordinate and align purchasing development work in the company's other regional sourcing teams through the regional Purchasing Managers
- Deliver new product introductions in due time to right cost
- Develop our processes and design of products to reduce cost of goods sold
- Support our Sourcing Managers to reduce business risks and to consolidate the supplier base

We believe you have an engineering background with experience from production technology or D&E combined with a purchasing or similar commercial experience.You have probably at least 5 years work experience.
