Innovation Buyer to Autoliv

To support Autoliv’s mission on Innovation and Advanced development, Autoliv has established a new Supply Chain Management organization for Innovation. The global supply chain organization is responsible for purchasing, logistics and supplier quality activities in advanced development for new business opportunities and new markets. Furthermore, the organization drives global development initiatives on supply chain strategy, process and concepts to capture expanded opportunities for innovation. We are now searching for an Innovation Buyer for Innovation Development that will be located at our Global Innovation Center in Vårgårda, Sweden.

Om uppdraget
As Innovation Buyer, you are responsible for identifying and managing supplier and partner involvement in Advanced development phases for an increased level of innovation and design optimized for quality and cost. You will focus on new functions or components that represent a technology challenge or high innovation level.

Your main responsibilities as Buyer:
- Responsible Buyer in advanced engineering studies and development projects
- Scout key suppliers and partners for collaborations on new technologies and innovations, supporting our technology road map and supply chain strategy
- Manage and ensure early supplier involvement in concept development phases including contract management, technical feasibility assessment, early cost estimates and RFQs.
- Coordinate the supply chain activities and key competence involvement such as supplier quality, cost engineers, segment buyers and logistics to support the development activities.
- Support first market launch of new developments and innovations
- Support and actively contribute in the concept development phases and ensure strong collaboration with the global development teams and key suppliers.

In your assignment as Innovation Buyer you belong to a supply chain team located in Vårgårda, Sweden. You will be working in a global context and report to Global Supply Chain Innovation Manager, connected to the Global Supply Chain Innovation organization in Autoliv.
Travels will be required on demand.

To succeed in the position as Buyer, we believe that you have a maturity in your purchasing role with experience from direct purchasing. You are confident in yourself as well as in your profession, experience and competence.
A strong business mindset and a good ability to lead and coordinate tasks are important qualities. As Buyer you need to collaborate well with others, both in project contexts and with other functions globally within the supply chain organization.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or other related area
- Experience from the supply chain area
- Experience from working with innovation or product development
- Good technical knowledge
- Contract management knowledge
- Good ability to analyse costs
- Strong communication skills
- Fluent in English, in speaking and writing

Meritorious:
- Master’s degree
- Fluent in Swedish, in speaking and writing
- Experience from automotive industry
- Experience from IATF 16949
