SP Technical Research Institute of Sweden is a leading international research institute. SP work closely with our customers to create value, delivering high-quality input in all parts of the innovation chain, and thus playing an important part in assisting the competitiveness of industry and its evolution towards sustainable development.

SP has developed a new and unique system and technology based on pulsed ultrasound for in-line fluids characterization and for measuring the quality properties of industrial fluids (e.g. food, cosmetic products). The patented Flow-Viz technology is currently being installed and tested within large international companies. An experienced engineer is needed to assist with further technology development, installations of systems for new customers as well as product maintenance and support.
Job location: SP Food and Bioscience Department, Gothenburg, Sweden


Requirements/Qualification needed:
1. Civilingenjör or Master's qualification (cum laude advantage).
2. Radio Frequency Engineering background (Bachelors).
3. Signal processing techniques essential (RF engineering).
4. Industry experience with data management and reporting.
5. Previous experience with fluid measurement / pipe loops.
6. MATLAB programming essential. 
7. LabVIEW programming experience and ability an advantage. 
8. Instrumentation / data acquisition system design essential (previous experience and ability).
9. Electronic design concepts (ground loops, circuit analysis and testing).
10. Ability to quickly understand and learn new concepts and practically apply it.
11. Industry experience within team environment essential, work under pressure.
12. Previous experience with presentations to customers (advertising/training) essential.
13. Technical writing, user manuals, technical manuals, documentation essential.




Job description and tasks:
1. Assembly of Flow-Viz instruments, installation and commissioning of systems. 
2. Experimental lab. Work and trial tests. 
3. First line support. 
4. Research and development of Flow-Viz (UVP+PD) technology. 
5. Quality assurance management of manufacturing / assembly of products. 
6. Management of feasibility studies/trials and pilot plant installations/trials. 
7. Software / algorithm development. 
8. Writing/publication of technical notes, papers, journal articles. 
9. Develop infrastructure and sustainability - Lab management (equipment, flow loops) and staff training. 
10. Technology transfer and commercialization of current and new products/technology.
11. IP protection (patent specification writing, defense, claim amendments). 
12. Additional tasks: Writing of research/contract applications and assist with confidential contract work.
