Läkare Utan Gränser (MSF Sweden) is looking for a person for the Legacy, Major Donors and Foundations fundraiser position, who will be a part of the private fundraising department at MSF Sweden. GENERAL PRESENTATION MSF Sweden is a respected and visible actor for humanitarian principles and action in the Swedish civil society, with a strong presence in media.MSF Sweden was founded by Swedish doctors in 1993.As a partner in the international MSF movement, MSF Sweden exists to assist populations in danger by recruiting medical and non-medical fieldworkers, by raising funds and by raising awareness and provoke change through the act of temoignage (bear witness), or advocacy.Since its foundation, the Swedish section has grown at an impressive rate.In 2008, the Swedish section had 105 departures of field workers to the field.A board consist of nine national and two international members and represents the association.The office of MSF Sweden consists of 28 full-time positions and around 50 committed office volunteers.RAISON D'ETRE , MISSION AND NATURE OF THE POSITION To increase the fundraising capacity of MSF-Sweden and be an active part of strengthening the fundraising team.To diversify and increase funds raised in Sweden by further developing the one to one areas of legacies, major donors MAIN ACTIVITIES LEGACIES, responsible for: -handling and executing all areas of incoming legacies.-setting and carrying out a strategy of working with legacies.-budget planning and follow-ups for the area of legacies.-marketing legacies towards donors and the general public.MAJOR DONORS, responsible for: -the area of major donors and donations, ensuring a strategy and a programme to raise funds and develop long term potential of the area.-planning and implementing activities according to the major donors strategy.-income and cost budgeting and for results for actively following and analysing results for continuous improvements.FOUNDATIONS, responsible for: -handling all foundation issues regarding funding of MSF missions/Sweden activities.-setting up a long-term strategy of raising funds from foundations.JOB REQUIREMENTS -Experience in building personal long term relations within fundraising or similar -Experience in - and enjoying - a day to day working environment facing immediate problem solving as well as long term planning decisions -Experience in setting and carrying out a strategy and budget planning -Ability to plan, organise and prioritise work in an efficient way to keep deadlines -Ability to work individually as well as within a team, good interpersonal/social skills -Flexibility, sense of initiative, team spirit -Good communication skills, including fluency in written and spoken Swedish and English.-Good marketing knowledge, hold a university degree in marketing or similar.In the subject line please write your name + Application Fundraiser.Please note that your entire application shall be written in English.
