Inspection Engineer at Nynas

This is a full-time position based at our refinery in Nynäshamn, approximately 40 minutes from Stockholm.
In this position you will contribute to plant changes and projects independently , for example reconstruction of a unit, as well as providing corrosion and materials expertise on a day to day basis. You are offered a varied role, working closely with your colleagues in the engineering department and operations as well as external parties such as consultants within the inspection engineering field.
The role
Your role will be to monitor mechanical integrity and ensure the availability of static equipment in the production units at the refinery in Nynäshamn. Main responsibilities will be to plan, perform and record inspection data to the inspection software, PCMS and maintenance system JDE CAM. You will also work with the implementation and development of risk-based inspection strategy (RBI). Technical investigation especially in the area of material degradation will also be a part of the key responsibilities.
You will be part of the Inspection group within the Manufacturing unit, working together with two other Inspection Engineers. The role is mainly operational but also holds a tactical element as it should ensure Nynas applying modern inspection techniques.
Your profile
To succeed in your work at Nynas as an Inspection engineer, we expect you to have a few years of experience from a similar role in a relevant industry, from where you have acquired knowledge of inspection, solid material and corrosion. Knowledge of welding technology is an advantage.
You need to be structured and organized on a daily basis. To further qualify for this position, we need you to be analytical, responsible and have integrity.
Requirements
- M.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering/Chemical Engineering with a minor in material science, international welding Engineer, IWE or equivalent
- Experience in FMEA, Risk based inspection (RBI), pcms, aim
- Expert in material degradation mechanisms and understanding of chemical industry
- Good knowledge of legal requirements and technical standards for pressurized equipment
- Working proficiency in English
