About us
Technical Material Analysis (TMA) is a department within the Customer Support organization responsible for analysis and documentation of the complete Volvo Penta product range regarding quality and warranty claimed units and components. This work is mainly done in our own facilities in Lundby, Gothenburg and occasionally on site at the customer in collaboration with the market units globally.
Furthermore, TMA assists in developing service solutions for aftermarket actions such as recall and quality campaigns.
Your main tasks will be to:
Receiving and sending of goods
Ordering material for analysis
Failed unit disassembly
Examine faulty components
Document and present findings (in English)
On customer/dealer site failure analysis (occasional travelling required)
Assist with short term quality remedy implementation
Participate in quality issue work
Who are you?
To be successful in this position you need to be service minded, well organized and have good communication and networking skills. As a person you are analytical, solution focused and comfortable to work both independently and in teams. We believe that you have extensive technical understanding of powertrain functionality for marine and industrial applications. A large contact network and market knowledge within Volvo Penta is meriting.
As this is a position within Volvo Penta that evolves with time thanks to new technology development you have the curiosity and will to take on new possibilities and you have the drive to challenge existing methods.

Qualifications
Technical education; 4 years’ technical high school or equivalent
At least 5 years working experience within a relevant area
Advanced level of mechanical and electronics skills is essential
Computer skills and interest in learning new IT systems (MS Office, 3D-viewers, Photoshop etc.)
Experience from workshop, service and repair
Very good knowledge in diesel engines and transmissions
Fluent in Swedish and English
