Inspired by a software-driven future? Come join our Purchasing team!

Arbetsbeskrivning

Scania is now undergoing a transformation from being a supplier of trucks, buses and engines to a supplier of complete and sustainable transport solutions.

Scania is in an exciting phase with developing our future autonomous and connected vehicles. Project Purchasing Autonomous & Connected systems (SCX) is now looking to expand our team with a software purchaser who is excited to join this journey.

Who are we?

Project Purchasing Autonomous & Connected systems (SCX) are responsible for buying hardware and vehicle-implemented software for our future autonomous and connected systems. We work closely with R&D and our suppliers to try to find the right technology to the right price, while meeting the required time to market and Scania’s quality and sustainability demands.

The technology shift towards Autonomous, Connected and Electrified vehicles also means that we will be providing a higher amount of customer value through software-implemented functions than ever before. Our main challenges for the future are to select excellent suppliers to cooperate with us on delivering an increased software content in our vehicles and also find good agile methods for working together with our suppliers.

We are a team with lots of experience within purchasing and electronics who enjoy working closely together. We enjoy solving problems both within the team and with our cross-functions and always strive to find the best solutions for Scania.

Who are you?

We think that you have previous purchasing experience and a passion for doing business. You also have a strong interest and/or some previous experience in software or IT, either commercially or from software development. You have a university degree within engineering, software or business and probably also several years of work experience.

You have the ability to see the big picture and think strategically. You strive to always deliver what you promise and have the organizational skills to keep several projects moving at the same time. You have a passion for finding new ways of doing things and to think outside the box to find solutions to problems. You like that there is not always a blueprint for how to do things.

You are social and enjoy working in a team and work towards a common goal, both cooperating with others within the team and cross-functionally. As the role will involve many international contacts and travel, you need to be fluent in spoken and written English. Swedish is an advantage as well as other language skills.

What do we offer?

• A great opportunity to work with Scania’s future non-embedded software and take part in developing the future solutions for mobility
• The chance to break new ground with new ways of working both internally and externally and translate this into smart business agreements
• Membership in a strong team working together to solve problems and committed to finding the best solutions for Scania
