HVDC (High Voltage Direct Current) is a product group in Hitachi Energy, which develops, manufactures and sells DC transmission systems on a global market. HVDC technology is used to transmit electricity over long distances and for power transmission via submarine cables. It is also used to connect power systems.
The HVDC market for large scale transmission and offshore wind is booming as an enabler for the global energy transitions. All these projects are classified as very critical infrastructures and hence cyber security requirements and standard compliance is very high.
The installed base project manager has a vital role in HVDC Service Strategy and is crucial in accelerating pursuits of business opportunities, tendering and efficient execution of the Long-Term Service Agreement (LTSA) development and execution.

The installed base project manager’s responsibilities include but not limited to the following:
Your responsibilities
Ensure that all the plant documentation needed for pursuing the service offers of LTSA, upgrade or other opportunities of for HVDC stations are sufficient.
Ensure that all the essential data for all the equipment of all the existing converter stations installed around the world is collected from internal and external OEM/suppliers and stored in a structured form in the company databases so that it can be easily accessed and analyzed in the form of reports for a variety of purposes, internal and external (customer reporting).
Contribute to an efficient process in collaboration with PG2215 and PG2222 project management to ensure that the as-built data for the projects under execution are transferred to the database at handover of the project from execution to warranty.
Ensure that the Life Cycle (LC) information of all the equipment is collected from the responsible OEM/Suppliers/departments and stored in the database.
Analyze the IB data for different purposes (e.g., pursuing opportunities, informing customers about different phases of the equipment) and produce different types of reports (e.g., prognosis on opportunities and LCM reports.
Support LTSA projects executions in Asset Management Systems (AMS).
Your background
A successful candidate should be structured, flexible and hold great qualifications in project management, quality control and documentation.
A university degree in engineering is desired, and you have knowledge of electronics.
International experience and ability to travel.
You have genuine technical interest and are always open to develop your skills within other fields.
You are a dynamic and social person who enjoys working with people from various business areas and parts of world.
Proficient in English since you will be part of an international setting where you will get to exchange knowledge with people from all over the world.
