Instructional Designer

Systems and Media is a global department within Volvo Construction Equipment - Global Competence Development. We support the organization with professional knowledge in informational design and related learning and content management systems.

We are now looking for a talented person that can design inspiring, pedagogical and effective course solutions with focus on e-learning and mobile-learning.

In the role as Instructional Designer you will work as the link between subject matter experts and media developers to determine the need of the course and appropriate method of delivery.
You need to be able to find core messages in large amount of information and deliver these in the best possible way to our students.
We work in projects and your main delivery will be a finalized manuscript that will be handed to internal or external media developers.

Our main target group is dealer and regional personnel, mainly in the sales, commercial and technical areas.

We think that you have worked with these kinds of tasks in a sales, marketing or service organizations and have experience from both copywriting and media production.

Main Tasks/ Responsibilities:

Develop pedagogical correct training material manuscripts
Support subject matter experts in training material development issues
Communicate with external and internal stakeholders
Act as a program manager for specific programs
Lead projects related to production of training material
Develop global templates and guidelines in cooperation with others
Develop the process regarding creation of training material manuscripts
Oversee and implement right pedagogical elements in the training materials developed in Global Competence Development.

Required knowledge & experience:

Minimum of 5 years? experience in the learning segment
High knowledge about instructional design and models e.g. ADDIE
High knowledge of E-learning development
Good experience from technical writing/copywriting
Good training knowledge
Good knowledge about handling text and pictures (layout)
Good technical understanding
Good Project leader capabilities
Excellent communication skills in English, both verbally and in writing
