Instrument Engineer

Job scope
High level purpose of function.
Responsible for maintaining QC instruments, supporting Analytical Chemist purchasing new equipment, supporting facility projects related to the QC lab, supporting with HSE topic.

Key responsibilities
Overall areas of responsibility and activities.
· Set up and maintain calibration program for all QC related instruments.
· Set up and maintain a list of all QC instruments including Instrument Owner.
· Coordinate project activities related to the QC lab from QC perspective.
· Initiate risk analysis and tracking execution of defined activities to mitigate non-acceptable risks.
· Support Analytical Chemist to define User Requirements (URS) when purchasing new equipment.
· Together with Instrument Owner, maintain the analytical instruments to a high standard.
· Work across many parts of the organization, collaborating with R&D technical team, Process Engineering, Supply Chain, IT & automation as applicable.
· Coordinate Safety rounds
· Align and coordinate Risk Assessments and Actions
· Follow up TIAs and actions to assure to close the TIAs
Requirements
Educational background and previous experience required for the role.
Qualifications and experience
· Experience from work in maintenance and HSE
· Curious, technically educated and preferably with a strong business background
