Purpose of the role:

The Insurance Manager is responsible to lead the insurance team, developing processes to ensure compliance with current rules and legislations and strive for operational excellence, monitoring insurance programs and being the contact person towards LeasePlan Insurance and the value steam at LeasePlan Corporation.



Main Duties & Responsibilities:

* Process Manager for "Manage Insurance" and "Manage Accident & Claim Handling"
* Staff responsibility
* Offer insurance on behalf of LeasePlan Insurance together with Insurance Specialist
* Responsible for annual renewal process (together with LeasePlan Insurance and Insurance Specialist)
* Monitoring the loss ratios of the insurance programs
* Contribute to annual profit, forecasts in the annual plan (budget) and customer satisfaction targets
* Ensure follow-up of profitability within the customer portfolio together with Insurance Specialist
* Actively manage operational / commercial risks within insurance (identify, investigate, measure, control and mitigate)
* Responsible towards SFSA (Swe: "Finansinspektionen") for receiving, processing, remedying and following up on expressed complaints / dissatisfaction from customers
* Responsible for the department working according to established internal and external policies, rules and laws and is the contact person for auditing the business area
* Supporting Insurance Specialist on insurance technical details
* Contribute to developing the strategy, operational plan, KPIs and budget to successfully manage the relationship and partnership with suppliers
* Ensure execution of the operational plan
* Member of the Insurance Risk Committee
* Member of Operations Management Team



Knowledge / Skills:

Essential:

* Structured and exhibits a drive for continuous improvement of processes and operational excellence
* Proactive, creative and innovative thinker with a large drive for business development
* Understanding complex products, defining and executing strategies
* Team-oriented mind-set with a strong focus on collaboration and building relations within the LeasePlan organization, clients and potential partners
* Be an honest, transparent and trustworthy leader that is actively involved in achieving team objectives
* Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken (Swedish and English)
* Experience from insurance industry
* Deep understanding of motor insurance products
* Experience from claims management



Desirable:

* Experience and knowledge of leasing industry
* Decent MS Excel skills
* Experience of retrieving information from databases using (any) BI tool
* Ability to work to challenging deadlines in demanding fast paced environment
* Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation skills
* High interest in cars and car industry



Qualifications:

Essential:

* University degree in a Business or Economics or equivalent knowledge through work experience
* 3-5 years of experience in car industry role preferably within leasing
* OR 3-5 years of senior experience within the insurance field
* Deep understanding of insurance products
