WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
We are growing our IT team, and we are looking for our next stellar Integration & DBA Developer. We believe you have a strong technical understanding and that you are detail oriented. Furthermore, you are dynamic and thrive in an entrepreneurial environment. You have a relevant university degree or previous experience working in a similar position. If you have experience from the manufacturing industry it´s a plus. Fluency in English, both written and spoken is mandatory.

WHAT YOU WILL DO
The role of an Integration and Database Administrator (DBA) developer is a crucial one within Exeger IT department. This position entails a wide range of responsibilities, all of which contribute to the efficiency, security, and accessibility of data and systems.


• Efficient System Integration: Ensuring that different systems and software components work seamlessly together is fundamental. This involves the integration of applications and databases, which facilitates efficient data flow and information sharing across the organization.
• Data Management: As a DBA developer, managing data is at the core of your responsibilities. This includes extracting, transforming, and loading (ETL) data to ensure it's in the right format and location for easy access and analysis. This is critical for informed decision-making.
• Data Security and Protection: Protecting data from loss, corruption, and unauthorized access is paramount. Implementing and maintaining security measures, such as user permissions and encryption, is essential to safeguard sensitive information.
• Database Maintenance: Regularly performing database backup and recovery tasks ensures data can be restored in case of unforeseen issues. This is vital for business continuity and data integrity.
• Performance Optimization: Continuously monitoring and tuning the database's performance is necessary to maintain optimal system speed and efficiency.
• Understanding Business Needs: An integral part of the role is understanding the unique requirements of the business and proposing technical solutions. This involves working closely with different departments to identify their data and integration needs.
• Problem Resolution: Reviewing problem logs and identifying recurring issues is crucial for maintaining system reliability. Addressing these problems not only improves system performance but also prevents potential disruptions.
• Secure Solutions: Collaborating with the IT team to design and implement secure solutions is essential in an era of increasing cybersecurity threats. This includes ensuring that data and systems meet compliance standards and regulations.
• Participation in IT Projects: Being actively involved in IT projects helps ensure that integration and database concerns are considered from the outset. This proactive approach is crucial in preventing issues down the line.
