Interaction Design Leader – Strategy Development & Innovation

Your passion is within the Development & Innovation area, and with that in mind, creating an IKEA/Ingka fit for the future. You also have a good understanding of the IKEA Concept, the IKEA Brand Identity and IKEA Culture & Values.
We want you to have working knowledge of strategic design, design thinking, service design, UX/UI design, interaction design and digital and physical prototyping design tools.

To succeed as an Interaction Design Leader, you will need:
Backgrounds in areas such as; service design, product design, and business design, ideally all three.
Experience (+5 years) of working in a commercial role in a large ideally global organisation.
5+ years of experience working on a human centered design-thinking innovation team.
Leadership experience in changing and or complex environments.


YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
As an Interaction Design Leader, you build innovation capability by leading and supporting strategic innovation initiatives through the use of interaction design excellence, design thinking methods, and digital and physical prototyping tools. You support the development process of early stage new opportunities in a collaborative setup with the rest of the Ingka Group Innovation Team, cross company stakeholders and strategic external partners.
Amongst others you will:
Lead the development of proof of concepts, prototypes and minimal viable solutions for new services and customer facing interactions.
Play a leading role as an interaction design and related technology expert for the Ingka Global Innovation Team in advising and managing internal and external relationships related to interaction design and development.
Work around constraints and barriers with a “what if” and “why should we” mind-set to synthesize possible solutions and help incubate them into the appropriate resources across the organization.
Be always updated on macro-trends, creating a strong network with internal and external stakeholders in order to confidently identify and develop effective business opportunities.
