Group Manager within Perception Traffic Situation to our new office in Lund
Are you interested in making the world a safer place while working with both smart and friendly co-workers as well as cool and challenging technology?
We are now continuing expanding our businesses with a new office in Lund and are looking for new group manager to take the lead on recruiting and building our new teams here. We are primarily looking for you who sees opportunities rather than obstacles and would like to be part of creating a new office with a local touch, but at the same time well integrated in the rest of our organization. You probably have a manager background and are used to work in an organization distributed over several sites.
Who we are?
We have 800 people in five countries – China, Germany, Romania, USA and Sweden. In Sweden we are situated in Linkoping, Stockholm and Gothenburg with around 400 colleagues. Since we are a global company, we consist of a diverse workforce with basically all communication being done in English.
We have started working on our next generation vision perception and driving policy stacks. We are also very proud of our recent deal where a big German multinational corporate manufacturer of luxury vehicles decided on implementing our software in their cars. We are also in the process with several other major OEMs and foresee a significant need of growth going forward. Therefore, we are looking for more co-workers that wants to join us in our vision to create a world where everyone arrives safe and sound at their destination.

We work in cross functional agile teams consisting of 5-8 members. While each team member contributes with their own skills and experience, the team cooperates to perform the different steps in development. The teams are responsible for all steps in development - including system work, implementation, and verification. Our teams innovate at the frontiers of engineering using technologies such as machine learning, tracking and 3D reconstruction.
What you'll do and who we think you are!
As a Group Manager you will recruit and build upon existing team of highly competent developers. You are responsible for the development of both technology and personnel. To accomplish this we think you are open minded and a flexible person that have a high interest in team development, and are continuously working towards reaching high performing teams. You also have an interest in networking with academia and other companies active within computer vision domain, to find new candidates for recruitment and initiating research collaborations.
You have from your previous experience gained a high understanding about cultural differences and are used to collaborate and bridge gap between teams on different sites with different cultural background. You have good communication skills and you understand the importance of clearly setting and explaining the context of the work to the teams, e.g. explain the why, rather than only the how and what.
You will contribute operatively to the development work within the leadership team, to reduce risks, remove obstacles to make way for timely deliveries to our customers. To be successful on this you have to understand how the development work of the teams contributes the customer success. You are also used to balancing between short-term needs and long-term strategic matters.
What you'll bring:
To succeed in this position, we think you have: Minimum Bachelor of Science degree or equivalent
Experience as a Group Manager or equivalent
Experience in leading others as well as building and developing teams
Good English skills, spoken and written
The position requires background and experience within software product development and processes. Preferably you also have experience from algorithm development for computer vision.
Meriting experiences: machine learning, image processing, compute clusters, CI, agile principles and methods, the automotive industry and work with safety-critical systems.
You are fluent in English and preferably Swedish.
