Are you a brave and analytical person with a passion for structure, business and people? Do you want to be part of the development of a successful international company with high business and social impact? As Head of Business Controller at Matsmart you will work in an ambitious team as a driver of financial improvement and control.
We are in an exciting phase of international and organizational expansion. We are now looking for an interim Head of Group Business Control that can be with us for 18 months (with the possibility to extend).
What you’ll do
In this role, you will work across the organization, and you will report to the CFO and lead a small team of 3. We are looking for an experienced person who wants to set the structure for the function and ensure to implement all necessary tools and processes that are needed to serve this purpose.You will operate on an international level in cooperation with management to identify opportunities for financial improvement. You will:
- Be staff responsible for the business controlling team
- Lead Budget, Forecast and reporting (board- and internal) processes as well as the follow-up analyses and presentations
- Develop our internal analysis tools where BI is the main tool to be responsible for in this role (we are currently working in PowerBI)
- Streamline and automate projects as well as set the framework for the function
- Work closely with Financial controlling to ensure smooth collaboration between the functions
Our humble expectations - we see that you have experience in the following areas
- Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, Finance or Accounting
- Minimum 3-4 years of experience as a business controller, preferably in a ecommerce company
- A strong passion for numbers and data analysis
- Have previous experience from a manager position
- Advanced skills in Excel
- Full proficiency in written and spoken English
To be successful in this position we believe you enjoy extracting relevant information from numbers and to make it accessible and understandable for the organization and bring forward recommendations for improvements. You work effectively and independently and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and put attention to details. Deadlines are of uttermost importance to you and every task you handle is completed to the best of your ability. In addition, you are team-oriented and enjoy working closely with colleagues across the organization to be their humble sparring partner when needed.
