The Swedish section of Medecins Sans Frontieres (MSF) is recruiting an interim programme officer/institutional fundraiser.The main task is to raise and administrate institutional funds mainly from Sida, which involves close collaboration with MSF operational sections, working on quality standards, timely reporting etc.The post requires close following of MSF operations and to the contexts in which MSF works as well as knowledge of donor policies. MSF Sweden was founded by Swedish doctors in 1993.As a partner in the international MSF movement, MSF Sweden assist populations in danger by recruiting medical and nonmedical fieldworkers, by raising funds and by raising awareness and provoke change through the act of temoignage (bear witness), or advocacy. The position is a fulltime position (100%).Institutional fundraising is the main part of the post to but some advocacy activities and operational support can also be added, to what extent will be decided upon within the team.The position includes: * To apply for and administrate institutional funds from Sida and Forum Syd for MSF field projects and providing institutional donors with relevant operational and financial information, including information on the progress of projects that are funded by the donor.* To work for an improved and maintained level of quality in the reporting to donors in close collaboration with MSF's operational centres, in order to meet the donors' requirements.* To participate in MSF's fora for institutional fundraising and promote a good collaboration with the financial and operational departments at the operational centres as well as provide appropriate information and directions related to the collaboration with Sida.* Be available to do a field visit as a follow up of MSF Sweden's involvement and/or to maintain and develop knowledge of MSF operation and mission.* To have an uninterrupted knowledge of MSF operations and work in accordance with the objective that MSF Sweden's core activities shall be closely linked to needs in operations and to the context in which MSF works.Requirements Essential: * Commitment for populations in danger * Excellent administration and organisational skills * Knowledge and experience of institutional funding management (Sida and Forum Syd in particular) * Knowledge of Swedish institutional donor polices related to the humanitarian field * Knowledge of Swedish political contexts related to humanitarian affairs and development cooperation * Knowledge of project cycle management including budget examination * University degree * Work experience related to humanitarian assistance * Excellent communication and representation skills, fluent in Swedish and English (written and spoken) * Analytical skills * Flexibility with ability to work well both in team and independently * Ability to manage and adapt to stress Valuable: * Knowledge of MSF operational work and policies * Field experience within the humanitarian work * Experience working in an international environment * Knowledge of French, written and spoken Application should be written in English.You are welcome to contact the programmes department for questions about the post or for a complete job description Starting date is 4th May
