Scania is now undergoing a transformation from being a supplier of trucks, buses and engines to a supplier of complete and sustainable transport solutions.
Interior design group is responsible for developing the interior of the Scania cab. We are talking about products like seats, beds, storages, floor coverings and trims. As Scania is driving the shift towards autonomous driving, a new product in the interior is design of components connected to this.
Members of this group have all worked a longer time within this area, so you will without any doubt find support if needed.
Our development work in this position is based on the designer doing the drawings, models and specifications. You will get a wide network working together with colleagues from industrial design, ergonomics, production, purchasing and our suppliers in creating the best solution for the purpose.
We expect you to have
• A university degree in mechanical engineering, product development or similar.
• Experience in Catia V5 at least 2 years, if you have been working with Enovia it is an advantage.
• Knowledge and experience of product development of plastic and sheet metal components.
• Able to create and follow plans for your own work and is ready to act on deviations.
Your personal qualities
• Flexible, creative and diplomatic as many interests must be weighed together in the development work.
• Be able to communicate in a concrete and clear way with those affected.
• Interest in the emotional values of the design, what it looks like, what impressions the product gives, does it “feel" good.
• If you have interest in creating prototypes on your own or together with colleagues it is positive.
