Arbetsbeskrivning
At Sharkmob we enjoy playing games, and we love making games. For this QA role we are looking for someone who shares our passion and can help us achieve the highest standard of quality for our games. Working as a Quality Analyst with us is not just about finding and reporting bugs, but also about inspiring the people around you. You’ll play a major role in sharing information and coordinating with other teams regarding the state of the game.
In this role you will make sure that the game is properly tested as well as identify, reproduce and regress bugs. You will also help collect feedback from external players by facilitating test sessions with our user research department. Using your communication skills and out-of-the-box thinking, you will help anticipate and keep major issues from occurring whenever possible.
Our team is involved with almost everything that is going on with our games. We are seated in the middle of the action at the studio and are therefore exposed to the game on a daily basis. We regularly provide feedback and ideas to stakeholders. Some of those ideas end up making their way into the games too. Being part of an environment where every opinion is appreciated, and every door is open allows us to hone our creative skills and develop professionally.
The QA team at Sharkmob does things a little differently than the status-quo. As a Quality Analyst, you will not work embedded within a component or a team, instead, you will be responsible for tracking features that will be assigned to you; from their inception until they become playable in the actual game.

- Write test cases, organize QA tasks, and document testing processes and procedures.
- Coordinate testing with external FQA teams on the features you will oversee from a quality perspective.

- Proactively improve project testing, workflows and planning;
- Perform hands on testing of your features in game and report the issues you discover;
- Follow up with thorough regression testing on bugs reported in your areas.
- Assist with submissions to first-party platforms and services such as PlayStation, Xbox, Steam, etc.
- Collaborate with all the departments working on the project and inspire the people around you to always keep quality in mind when implementing new features.
- Provide qualitative feedback on the state of the game and recommend potential solutions for areas that you are directly responsible for testing.
- Assisting with planning and preparing internal and external user experience testing.
Desired experience and skills:
- Demonstrable testing experience, 1-3 years working as a QC/QA or a similar role, previous experience in gaming industry is a big plus;
- Experience with games and game engines, content & asset editors, software tools, and shared technologies will be an asset;

- Strong ability to prioritize and multi-task across competing demands and requests.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, including accurate and timely reporting;
- Excellent organization and time management skills;
- Involved in shipping at least one AAA game or an indie game project (or a software project of similar magnitude);
- Ability to immediately recognize bugs, critical issues or testing deficiencies and raise concerns to the responsible stakeholders.
- Ability to develop and foster strong working relationships within the development team, support teams, and management;
It is great if:
- You have a degree in software testing, computer science or equivalent.
- You have experience with the Unreal Engine.
