Our Nordic & Baltic head office is placed in Gothenburg.We are looking for a person in a position as Coordinator in our Intermodal department, responsible for the daily dispatch of all truck and rail activities in our Denmark/Norway dispatch team.You will be a part of a highly motivated team with different national background having the responsibility for all Intermodal activities in the Nordic area.The work will consist of having daily contacts with suppliers and internal customers as well as with other Area functions. As an Intermodal Coordinator you will be responsible for the daily planning and execution of all Intermodal activities via the use of own A.P.Moller Group Intermodal products and 3.party Intermodal products, including: - Supplier contacts - Handle interruptions to service deliverables - Handle exceptions/non standard customer Intermodal requirements - Cost control - Productivity improvement - Assist in the start up and finalizing of projects in the area Candidates must be prepared to work with a team spirit where individual ownership is a prerequisite in order for the team to successfully meet its objectives.The ability to communicate as well as taking initiative and quick decisions will also be needed.Applicants should be prepared for flexible working hours.You will from time to time work with tight deadlines and a high pressure wherefore being able to work in a structured and calm way during stress situation is required.Local knowledge of the container shipping and/or forwarding industry in either Denmark or Norway or both would be advantage but not a must.Basic IT understanding and knowledge of Microsoft Office is also seen as a prerequisite.Our corporate language is English and it is expected that you handle the language well, both verbally and in writing.Application: You apply for the position by registering your application together with attached CV and cover letter at the job portal at www.maersk.com.Please apply as soon as possible, but no later than the 1st of April 2007.We do not accept applications by mail or e-mail.
