Internal Auditor European to ARRIVA Due to Arriva's continuing expansion in Europe and internal promotions, a number of opportunities have arisen for the appointment of Internal Auditors to work for Arriva plc, one of Europe's fastest growing Transport Services Organisations. This position will involve a significant amount of travel within Europe Union.Reporting to the Head of Group Internal Audit (based at the company's head office in Sunderland, UK) and working as part of a sixteen person Europe wide professional team, the successful applicants will carry out audit reviews of Arriva Group Companies in accordance with the Group's Internal Audit Charter and participate in other special assignments as they arise.Particular focus is placed on review of the integrity of subsidiary company financial statements and related internal controls.Candidate should be able to demonstrate the ability to work effectively with others, ensuring excellent service delivery and communicating effectively both as a member of a team and on their own initiative.Adaptability and determination are key personal attributes, and you will be encouraged to look for innovative solutions to any problems you may encounter.You should have a commitment to constant improvement and delivering a better service, therefore you should be self-motivated, pro-active and willing to take on tasks and duties commensurate with the role. This position is seen as providing real opportunities for the successful applicants to ultimately move into a senior line accounting role with the Group, thereby assisting Arriva in its vision to be recognised as the leading transport services organisation in Europe.A graduate, you will ideally have worked for one of the top International Accountancy Practices, with at least three years experience in Auditing.Fluency in English is essential.Significant knowledge of Danish, Dutch, German, Italian, Portuguese or Swedish would be an advantage but is not a pre-requisite.The position can be based anywhere in the EU with good air connections for a candidate willing to travel 100 % during the week.This percentage will be reduced materially for candidates living near to a main Arriva operations location.
