Internal Control Expert

Internal Control Expert

Arbetsbeskrivning

Sandvik’s Global Finance Organization strives to protect and enhance shareholder value by turning financial data into the basis for decision-making and by protecting Sandvik’s capital structure. By understanding the operations and business drivers, we take an active part in achieving the business objectives. We strive to be true business partners – supporting decision-making and performance management by ensuring high quality processes and providing efficient, reliable and proactive financial analysis.

The Group Internal Control function was created in September 2016 and has been given the duty of building a first-class framework for Internal Controls across the Sandvik Group. Our goal is to build a robust support function for the Group, in which this department is working closely with the business. We are now looking for an Internal Controls Expert for Stockholm, who is interested in working in a stimulating and challenging environment in close collaboration with the Head of Internal Controls, on the quest to deliver a world-class function.

Job Summary
As an Internal Controls Expert, you support the VP Group Internal Audit and Internal Control by providing technical support in accounting and internal control within the organization and you develop and deliver projects. You also support our business areas with all internal control requirements, both remotely and in person, by advising on best practice and control requirements while ensuring that correct procedures and protocols are being followed; all in order to create a symmetry within the business areas that is in line with company and country rules and regulations. Together with other members in the team you document the controls on an entity/country basis, design key controls and work with local management on remediation plans.

In this role, you also have ongoing global responsibility, acting as the main support in the work to perform continual assessment of the operating effectiveness of the controls, as well as supporting local management with any changes that need to be made to the control environment. Internal Control is a fantastic area, where you will acquire a broad understanding of the Sandvik Group and the risks it faces in a wide range of countries and businesses. International travel is a natural part of this role.

Your profile
We are looking for someone formally qualified within accounting, and with solid experience from internal controls. Internal or external auditing experience is advantageous, as is previous involvement with implementation processes of internal control within a larger organization. A proven track record of creating internal control tools and documents such as Internal Controls policy, manuals and training and communication materials is also considered a merit. As we operate in a global organization, you must have excellent English skills, both in speaking and in writing.

We place great importance on your personality, as you are a confident professional with excellent attention to details. You are engaged in the work you do, easily motivate yourself and possess the skills to structure, plan and prioritize your job. As a strong communicator, you easily collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders, creating trusting relations that add value to the business. You are business-focused and pragmatic and, with a proactive approach, you interact with others in a prominent way to make things happen and find the best solutions.

At Sandvik, we believe that diversity of experience, perspective and background leads to a better environment for our employees, our business and our customers. We’re looking forward to meeting you!
