You also need to drive change and be a real champion when it comes to working with new methods, digital systems, and processes to improve performance.
When it comes to knowledge, we are looking for someone who have extensive experience from designing internal control frameworks as well as supporting processes and tools. We also need you to have a strong ability to understand and relate to business needs and the operational risks they encounter. This role is global, spanning across all of Ingka businesses, so you would need to have experience from working holistically as well as internationally.
We understand that if you don´t come from Ingka/IKEA, you don´t have the total understanding of our corporate identity. But if you are willing to learn – we are there to support you.
To succeed as our Global Internal Control Manager, you will need:
• Formal qualifications and/or proven knowledge in the field of internal control
• Minimum 10 years of experience in the field of internal control from both operational and digital area, preferably in a global organization
• Minimum 5 years of managerial experience, preferably in a multinational company
And, of course, you share and live the IKEA culture and values and have a genuine interest in home furnishing. You act honestly in accordance with moral and ethical principles.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
As an Internal Control Manager, you will lead the area of Internal Control in Ingka, support and challenge the business in ensuring risks are managed by efficient internal control measures and business is conducted in a risk aware and compliant way.
Amongst many tasks you will:
• Lead and develop the team to secure an efficient, professional, and high performing organisation with identified talents to ensure succession planning
• Lead the area of Internal Control and develop strategic and tactical objectives that are aligned with business needs throughout the Ingka business
• Lead and drive the development, standardisation, implementation and maintenance of internal controls to mitigate key operational risks across Ingka
• Develop and maintain Ingka Group processes, tools and trainings material needed in Internal Controls
• Secure proper monitoring and reporting of internal control effectiveness and status of corrective actions
• Provide our Group functions and businesses with Internal controls design/implementation advisory to secure proper business understanding and ownership
This position is placed in Malmö, Sweden and you will report to the Risk, Compliance & Internal Control Manager. We offer relocation package for this role.
