International Procurement Office Manager NPU
International procurement’s role is increasingly important in the current market situation and times of tough competition. Professional international procurement in terms of supplier expertise in other markets, sharing best practice and using the international supplier base can bring significant value to Skanska and strongly increase our competitive advantage. IPO- International Procurement Office has a key role in driving and supporting international procurement in Skanska Nordics and forward increase our volumes.
We are now looking for a new IPO Manager that can lead this work forward!

Job Description 
The main purpose of this job is to support Nordic procurement unit (NPU) purchasers and the line organization with international options of new markets and suppliers. This role contribute to profitable purchasing for projects via the European market such as Poland, Slovakia, Latvia, Lithuania and new unexplored markets. It can be either via direct purchase or through Frame work/Cooperation agreements.
In the role you have the ambition to take the lead on to make the International Procurement Office to be seen as professional business advisors with strong international procurement competence.  
You should also contribute to an efficient IPO team and lead and develop your employees to better result and contribution to the business plan.

Main responsibilities
Your responsibility is to contribute to the following tasks:
* Together with your team execute on the new IPO strategy for 2020
* Continuality invest in development activities for your employees and encourage them to grow and develop their competences
* Be part of and collaborate tight with the purchasing team in NPU or Projects in order to make a successful international purchase
* Via robust market and supplier analysis select categories and suppliers within Europe that can sell same quality for better prices and total cost than Nordic companies- explore new solutions and market opportunities
* Clarify and translate demands from Skanska Nordic projects towards the supply chain
* Together with the purchasing teams evaluate suppliers/subcontractors that they fulfill Skanska Nordic requirements, values and supplier code of conduct before the negotiations take part
* Support with education on international purchasing, business culture information, strategies and expertise from the European market
* Ensure chosen suppliers/subcontractors can adapt to Skanska Nordics way of working and identify long time cooperation partnerships
* Check and follow up quality and delivery control via audits and visits in the suppliers production plants
* Budget and employee responsible
* Support and collaborate in NPU and cross business units activities

Profile
The person we are looking for shall have a university degree, preferably within Civil Engineering or Business administration and minimum 6 years work experience within strategic purchasing and preferable experience of management. You shall have extensive knowledge of be a spider in the web and be able to communicate on different levels both operational and strategically.
 

This together with personal skills such as structured, goal orientated and the ability to cope and manage many projects at a time. You shall have an entrepreneur mindset and a willingness to improve and change things to the better. You always strive for efficiency and find solutions on challenge!
You have high ethical standard and have an excellent track record from previous jobs. Finally you as the new IPO Manager are passionate about international purchasing, organizational and people development!
 
You are fluent in both English and preferable Polish in both writing and speech.
