International Research Fellow, Family Business

International Research Fellow in Family Business(100%) Jönköping International Business School (JIBS) seeks a Research Fellow in Family Business.This new research position will support the continued development of the Centre for Family Business and Ownership (CeFEO) at JIBS.The position is funded by a Browaldh grant from the Handelsbanken Research Foundations.JIBS serves regional and global needs by educating entrepreneurial leaders and business creators.JIBS shall be recognized as providing innovative leadership in research, education and service to society within entrepreneurship and business renewal.JIBS has about 200 employees and 2200 students, and it is one of four schools within Jönköping University.The Centre for Family Enterprise and Ownership at JIBS is one the world?s premier centres for family business studies engaging some 25 researchers from Business Administration, Economics, and Business Law.WORKING TASK / QUALIFICATION The selected candidate will conduct research and play an important role in the continued development of CeFEO.Furthermore, on 20% of full time the candidate is expected to teach on undergraduate and graduate levels and eventually supervise doctoral students.The candidate is expected to have a strong international orientation.The position is full time and requires a PhD degree in a relevant discipline for advanced family business research, such as business administration (management, accounting, marketing, etc), economics, economic history, psychology and/or (family) sociology. We require post doc academic performance, as well as a professional command of English.In making the selection, importance will be given to achievements and experiences of the applicant in the following areas: - Capacity and interest to engage in academic research at the highest level and an emergent record of publications in internationally recognized, peer-reviewed journals - Research experience with issues related to one or several of the following broad areas of family business; entrepreneurship, succession, governance, leadership, strategic development, internationalization, innovation and growth - Interest in building networks and collaborate with researchers/research centers in several countries - Experience of teaching and ability to communicate with academic and professional audiences (especially family business owners/managers, and advisors).- Interest in translating the scholarly findings into seminars for practitioners, as well as for bachelor/master students.- Ability and/or interest to work in joint research projects and team activities.
