This role takes you to the heart of that equation, leading a thriving sales team and supporting Sportality to scale up its European footprint. You’ll be working to support sports leagues and clubs from a multitude of different sports to build and optimize their digital profile.
Sportality is expanding and we’re looking for an awesome Sales Manager to help us expand into the European market. We deliver a SaaS sports administration platform, giving sports leagues and clubs the tools to manage their websites, create engaging digital content, collect customer data, facilitate fan transactions and much more in one place. We also offer our customers world-class content services, designed to build interest and anticipation in their sport and drive people to their arenas on Game Day.
Background
Sportality is a market leader in our vertical on the domestic market, with sales historically driven by market demand and strong references. Today, we boast in our portfolio some of the biggest and most popular professional sports leagues and clubs in Sweden.
Over the last two years, Sportality has redeveloped our go-to-market strategy and is now actively processing the European market. Market research and trials have been completed, but a deal is yet to be closed.

- Build out and bolster our strategy for international business development.
Your Role
As a Sales Manager at Sportality, you will be a key player in this journey, supported by a Sales Representative and an Account Manager. You’ll be tasked with building a Sales Organization that can meet the needs of the market and service Sportality’s strategy and budget. You’ll own and develop a regional sales strategy, creating an organized and streamlined approach for market penetration.
You’ll work hands-on throughout the sales process to prospect and sign customers, keeping in mind the needs of both the client and Sportality to best facilitate long-term growth. You’ll be joining a company with zero churn and long-standing client relations with a suite of existing customers, which you’ll be responsible for managing. A day-to-day focus on Business Development is therefore here considered essential.
You will work closely with our Customer Success Team (CS), with responsibility for support and customer projects. The CS team will support you with client up-sales and the maintenance of strong, working relations with existing customers. You will also work closely with our Account Manager, who works predominantly with our Swedish-based clients at a strategic level, as well as with our service-side partners.
Required Skills
- Driven to get business done and build long-lasting, prosperous client relations, from plan to close.
- Highly competent working with digital sales tools and CRM solutions (e.g. Hubspot, Salesforce).
- Experienced in complex contract negotiations.
- Previous exposure to international market penetration and the intricacies and nuances of doing business across cultural borders.
- A business developer motivated to scale up at pace in a small-to-medium owner-managed business environment, with recognition of the vertical’s category-specific landscape and trends.
- Strong experience in sales management.
- High energy, can-do approach to personnel professional development.
- Confident working autonomously in a structured and organized way, planning and prioritizing as required.
- A strategic thinker, willing to roll up their sleeves and get hands-on in collaboration with colleagues.
- A proven track record of scaling up business through external partnerships.
- Exceptional written and verbal English skills. Other languages are considered as a bonus.
Desired Skills
- Experience as a sales manager in a SaaS company, running a sales department and/or customer success team.
- Has created, used, owned, and developed a digital sales methodology premised in automation.
- A highly competent change manager, with knowledge of defining and implementing KPIs.
- Possess extensive knowledge of sales methodologies and practices.

Plays a mentorship role to key positions within the sales department. You should be comfortable as a product and brand ambassador, representing Sportality externally.

You are driven by creating value for customers, premised on customer needs and the presentation of solutions designed to fulfill these requirements. You should be confident collaborating with other functions, such as content and marketing, to define a comprehensive approach to the brand establishment and market penetration.

Terms of employment
Location: Linköping.
