Sandvik Mining and Rock Technology is a leading supplier of equipment and tools, service, support and technical solutions for the mining industry and niches such as quarrying, tunneling, demolition, dimensional stone, recycling and civil engineering industry. The Technical Services department within the product area Crushing & Screening is responsible for providing service, support and commissioning of our products, close to our customers out in the field.

To join us, we are now looking for an International Service Engineer. Traveling to customer sites for long periods at a time overseas is a natural part of the job with up to 150 days a year to long haul destinations such as Australia, Africa, South America etc. When not visiting customers you are located in Svedala, just outside Malmö in the south of Sweden.

Job Summary
As an International Service Engineer, your overall mission is to visit our customer out in the field and provide support regarding technical service. You perform assignments such as service and periodic inspections, annual plant audits, installations and commissioning as well as fine-tuning of complete plants or of individual machines. Preventative maintenance, resolving production stops and problems that arise unexpectedly and giving technical advice is also essential for this role. Furthermore, you train operators and help customers to develop by conducting documentation and ensuring that the necessary documentation is completed in connection with the completed work. You also stay up-to-date with current routines and policies with respect to environmental, health and safety issues. As we work in close cooperation with stakeholders like the R&D and Sales functions, your knowledge from the field will be used to help develop our future products and processes. In this position, you report to the Manager of Technical Services.

Your profile
We are looking for someone with education in Electrical Engineering and Automation. You have three to five years' experience of similar work and commissioning of electrical and automation systems in an international position. Additionally, you have good technical knowledge of hydraulics and mechanics and good knowledge of PLC systems, as well as some experience with an HMI/SCADA program. Relay technology is advantageous, as is experience with Siemens control systems, fieldbus systems and OPC. You have good knowledge in English, in both writing and speaking, and you are able to communicate at all levels in the organization. Experience of the mining industry is meritorious.
