International Student Co-ordinator

The International Office at Jönköping International Business School (JIBS) is looking for a replacement for the International Student Co-ordinator position.The International Office facilitates all aspects of internationalisation at JIBS which involves among other things developing the cooperation for exchange agreements with international partner universities.The office runs the student and faculty exchange program and works closely with faculty to help develop contacts in research and course development. QUALIFICATIONS The successful candidate will be responsible for the coordination of the administration of the incoming exchange students coming from JIBS' 200 international partner universities around the world.The administration of the international exchange students implies, among other things, providing service to international students and international partner universities in regards to application and admission process, organising the induction week as well as counseling the students in various matters once at JIBS.The candidate will also be responsible for the coordination of some international projects administrated by the International Office.The task involves also cooperation with several different instances of the administration of Education at JIBS, JIBS' students, faculty members.It also involves several other instances within the University of Jönköping (other International Offices, the Accommodation Office, Student Health Services) and external contacts in the community (Municipality of Jönköping, the Immigration office, Internationella programkontoret, Utbildingsdepartamentet, Svenska Institutet. Applicants must be completely fluent in English (both spoken and in writing) and have a working knowledge of Swedish.Knowledge of other languages is a merit.In addition, applicants should be able to demonstrate an ability to work with people from different cultures, be service-minded, have excellent administrative skills, work in a multi-tasked environment and be able to work individually as well as within a team. Applicants should have the equivalent of a bachelor degree with a suitable major and be computer literate.
