Become one of our 30 International Trainees at Vattenfall. Each of the trainee positions is unique, linked to a department within a specific business area and a working location. This means that each position has its own specific responsibilities, challenges and matching profile.
Next to your personal development in this unique position you will be enjoying one year of all we have to offer. Your trainee year will be filled with meet-ups with your international trainee team with likeminded individuals. You will be meeting up virtually to work on assignments and live during four seminar weeks where you will be visiting our power plants and growing your superpowers with a variety of trainings.
Your role as a Trainee – Facility Asset analyst
Vattenfall Eldistribution is at the beginning of a digital transformation journey where one of our goals is to move from reactive maintenance to predictive, smart and status-based maintenance on our assets/components in the electrical grid. The Asset Analysis group has a key function in this development and currently consists of approximately 15 employees. Further on, the group is responsible for monitoring risks connected to our assets/components and to maintain an optimized asset plan throughout the whole lifecycle. Through analyzes and investigations, we evaluate deviations from expected delivery and performance of the grid. We evaluate, test and implement new analyzing methods and own the overall maintenance plan. As an Asset analyst, you are responsible for performing analyzes on the company's assets based on a financial, statistical, status and risk perspective.
The role involves developing analysis methods to map the status and risks of our assets. You will be involved in decisions regarding reinvestment and maintenance plan for the asset and/or its specific components that you are in charge of. You will be involved in developing our tactical management in terms of how we streamline our maintenance and our reinvestments.

As a Trainee - Facility Asset analyst - you recognize yourself in the following:
Master’s degree in Engineering, preferably within energy, nuclear, physics or similar
Maximum one year of working experience after graduation
Have a strong academic record - please merge grade records with your CV
Extracurricular activities with project management elements within relevant area is meritorious
A passionate and humble problem solver with good ability to analyse and break down complex issues
Driven, ambitious and result-oriented with the ability to work both in teams and independently

You are our ideal trainee if you are a recent graduate with an academic degree or you graduate before September 2023. You are fluent in English and Swedish. Skills in other world languages can be a merit. You are willing to relocate for possible assignments throughout the organization. And of course, you identify yourself with our principles: active, open, positive and safe.

Selection period starts after the application period is closed with online tests followed by interviews in March. An assessment is also part of the recruitment process and will take place in April.
