Become one of our 30 International Trainees at Vattenfall. Each of the trainee positions is unique, linked to a department within a specific business area and a working location. This means that each position has its own specific responsibilities, challenges and matching profile.
Next to your personal development in this unique position you will be enjoying one year of all we have to offer. Your trainee year will be filled with meet-ups with your international trainee team with likeminded individuals. You will be meeting up virtually to work on assignments and live during four seminar weeks where you will be visiting our power plants and growing your superpowers with a variety of trainings.
Your role as a Trainee – Human factors/HTO
Ringhals nuclear power plant is located on the Swedish west coast, 60 km south of Gothenburg. It is one of the largest companies in the region. We have almost 50 years of experience producing electricity. We operate two nuclear reactors and we have just started the decommissioning of the two closed units. We are currently facing a variety of new challenges which require us to be innovative in our approach.
The department for safety, quality and environment is responsible for the local independent nuclear safety oversight. You will contribute with a human factors perspective in different kinds of safety reviews, event investigations and in initiatives to strengthen the safety culture.
Your daily activities include:
performing event investigations and developing the process
different activities within the area of safety culture e.g. assessments or workshops
participating in several functions of the safety department
daily and weekly meetings
supporting the organisation within the area of human factors
stay updated on relevant research and translate it into practical use in the organisation
Qualifications

As a Trainee - Human factors/HTO- you recognize yourself in the following:
Degree in the area of behavioral science such as psychology, cognitive science, sociology or human factors.
Maximum one year of working experience after graduation
Have a strong academic record - please merge grade records with your CV
Extracurricular activities within relevant area is meritorious
A humble mindset with a good ability to analyse human and organisational perspectives in a complex and technical environment
Driven, ambitious and result-oriented with the ability to work both in teams and independently
You are our ideal trainee if you are a recent graduate with an academic degree or you graduate before September 2023. You are fluent in English and Swedish. Skills in other world languages can be a merit. You are willing to relocate for possible assignments throughout the organization. And of course, you identify yourself with our principles: active, open, positive and safe.
Location:
The position is located at Ringhals Nuclear Power Plant. You will be positioned at the Department for Safety, Quality and Environment, and to some degree also conduct HTO-tasks in the line organisation.

Selection period starts after the application period is closed with online tests followed by interviews in March. An assessment is also part of the recruitment process and will take place in April.
