Become one of our 34 International Trainees at Vattenfall. Each trainee position is unique, linked to a department within a specific business area and a working location. This means that each position has its own specific responsibilities, challenges and matching profile.
Next to your personal development in this unique position you will enjoy one year of all we have to offer. Your trainee year will be filled with meetups with your international trainee team with like-minded individuals. You will be meeting up virtually to work on assignments and live during four seminar weeks where you will be visiting our power plants and growing your superpowers with a variety of trainings.
Your role as Trainee - Power System Analyst
In this role you will work within Vattenfall's Hydro Power organization. Hydro power is by far the leading renewable energy source in the EU, and a key player in Vattenfall’s mission; helping society break free from fossil fuels.
You will work in a department called Power Station Technology. In this department we work with technology management in preliminary studies and investigations, we create, manage and synchronize Hydro’s technical specifications, we carry out status assessments, and provide knowledge and specialist support.
We who work in the department are technical specialists within areas such as turbines, generators, instrumentation and control engineering, and power systems engineering.

Power station technology
Specialist support and services
Requirements for generators, RFG
Simulation, and electrical power system analysis.

As Trainee - Power System Analyst you recognize yourself in the following:
Your university programme must include courses within electric power engineering and power system design/planning
Courses and/or experience within areas such as electricity markets, simulation, calculation and hydro power are meritorious.

You are our ideal trainee if you are a recent graduate with an academic degree and have maximum one year of work experience, or you graduate before September 2024. You are fluent in both Swedish and English. You are willing to relocate for possible assignments throughout the organization. And of course, you identify yourself with our principles: active, open, positive and safe.
Location: Luleå, Norrbotten
You will be working in department Power Station Technology, and your home office will be in Luleå, Sweden.

Selection period starts after the application period is closed with online tests followed by interviews in February/March.
