As an Associate in our team, you’ll apply and develop your problem-solving skills in real world projects to support our clients in making their assets successful.
We are a strategy & communication agency specialized in the Nordic life science industry that, simply put, ensures our clients are strategically positioned and professionally packaged towards their potential acquirers, investors and competitors. We are dedicated to smaller life science companies and specialize in business development, valuation and communication in the Nordics.
Just like many of us, you probably have a technical background but come to the conclusion that you would rather like to apply it in a business setting. You like the idea of applying your analytical skills to identify strategic partners, support investment decisions and quantify the value of business opportunities but your still realize the importance of being able to present your findings in a compelling and pedagogical way. And, if you're like the rest of us, abbreviations such as rNPV, M&A, ROI, IND, ODD and PRIME gets you excited.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
We are searching for both part-time interns and full-time associates starting early spring 2022.
Our interns and associates:
Are business analysts that play an important role in our client engagements by analytically solving the client's business issues and making strategic recommendations together with the case team.
Perform fundamental analysis of for example disease etiology, diagnosis, treatment algorithms, clinical guideline recommendations and epidemiology.
Perform business analysis of for example market trends/dynamics, competition, clinical development design, pipeline drugs/devices, and M&A and financial deal activity.
Perform interviews with the client’s project team and industry experts (physicians, company leaders, subject matter authorities) to extract strategic insights.
Work across a range of bio/medtech clients with C-level executives in analyzing and delivering projects that have a lasting impact on the client’s competitive positioning and company value.

QUALIFICATIONS:
To qualify as Associate or Intern, we expect:
at least 1-3 years of experience related to business development/strategy, market analysis, financing, investment support, or similar, within the field of Life Science as well as a technical/scientific background in a relevant field (biotechnology, medicine, pharmacy etc).
Solid understanding of economic, financial and general business concepts and terminology
Excellent communication skills in English and Swedish – both verbally and in writing
That you thrive in a fast-paced environment and perform with a sense of urgency and client service orientation
Preferable experience in preparing investment presentations, business plans, market analysis, valuation, assessment of competitors, decision-making material to support strategic decisions, prospectus/investment memos, partnering material, licensing packages, etc.
Experience from relevant databases (e.g. Informa suite, EvaluatePharma, GlobalData, Clarivate, Elsevier, Pubmed, ClinicalTrials, Monocl Professional, etc) is beneficial

Our office is located in Göteborg, Sweden, but many team members are working remotely from other cities and countries – some temporarily and some permanently. We prefer to run onboarding and mentorship for Associates within the same office location until they can work independently but for the right candidate we are open to consider alternate arrangements. We can offer flexibility regarding office hours but expect the same flexibility when our client engagements may require you to work overtime or travel for sales and workshops. Under normal circumstances we enjoy quarterly celebrations, afterworks and any excuse to throw another party – but during the covid-19 outbreak this has been replaced by digital meetups (Slack, Zoom and Teams) and corona safe outdoor activities.
