Internship coordinator & career coach

Job Description
As an internship coordinator & career coach at Hyper Island you will play an important role in both ensuring Hyper Island’s internship collaborations and coaching our students towards the career they aim for. In this role you make a crucial difference for both - our students and their mentors in the relevant industry. You play a key-role to make the extended Hyper Island customer journey between our learning partners and students happen. Your task as an internship coordinator & career coach is to coordinate and quality-assure Hyper Island’s internship-courses as well as coaching students in their career development on a group- and sometimes individual level.

Who are we looking for?
You have relevant experience from talent acquisition, career counselling and coaching, HR, match-making or in coaching job seekers. You have strong communication skills and confidence in teaching or public speaking. You are driven by working towards clear goals, want to contribute to a more inclusive labour market and enjoy meeting people with different backgrounds, skills and competencies.

Responsibilities
You will be an acting matchmaker between the students and the industry they aim for. You will need to find smart and effective ways to quality assure internship placements by using digital communication tools, forms and surveys. You will play a key role for the students and their internship mentors and make sure that Hyper Island lives up to the expectations regarding training and learning on internship placements set by the Swedish agency for vocational education (Yrkeshögskolemyndigheten www.myh.se (http://www.myh.se)).

You will actively work with our learning partner companies and enable meetings between Hyper Island’s students with potential future employers throughout their education. You will also work closely together with Hyper Island’s program managers who are responsible for designing and leading our different programs.

Experience and competence

Requirements
Education: 1-2 years of higher education in a relevant field (humanities, social and behavioural science, human resources or project management) or 2-3 years of relevant work experience.
At least 1 year of work-experience.
You have fluent knowledge of Swedish and English, a third language is an advantage.
Previous experience as study- and career counsellor or job/career coach is a big plus.
A coaching certification is a plus.

Terms
You will report to Learning partner team lead Pernilla Hallberg.
Start: From August 2022.
Location: Stockholm
