Arbetsbeskrivning
You may have heard that we at Embark are building a technical platform to empower more people to make games . We’re looking for interns to join our platform community team, which shapes how Embark and the platform we're building fit into the greater developer ecosystem.
This is a great opportunity for students, new grads, or candidates new to the tech industry who are interested in future roles in Developer Relations or Community Management.
Apart from this role we are also looking for a Developer Advocate (Developer experience) (https://www.embark-studios.com/jobs/843266-internship-developer-advocate-developer-experience).
But you might be a mix of both! Let us know in your cover letter how you think you'd best fit into our team.
As a Developer Advocate Intern at Embark on our community project, you'll work with the community team to organise community events for developers, write blog posts and updates about our work, and develop relationships with community organisations.
Who You Are:
- You might not be a full-time software developer yourself, but you're excited about technology and can talk about technical topics with developers.
- You have experience organising game jams, hackathons, student events, meetups, user groups, conferences, or other events.
- You have experience writing blog posts, newsletters, or social media content for a tech audience.
- You have excellent English communication skills.
Bonus:
- You have experience working on open source projects.
- You have experience with game design or development.
- You have experience with public speaking, especially for tech events.
Our internships have flexible start dates and durations, but we'd like you to be able to work with us full-time for 4-6 months, with a start date between August 1 and November 1 2020. We are open to remote candidates.
In your application, please include a short cover letter about why you're interested in developer advocacy and community and list links to any game jam or hackathon projects you've made, posts you've written, events you've organised, and any other relevant info.
