Arbetsbeskrivning
You may have heard that we at Embark are building a technical platform to empower more people to make games . We’re looking for interns to join our platform community team, which shapes how Embark and the platform we're building fit into the greater developer ecosystem.
This is a great opportunity for students, new grads, or candidates new to the tech industry who are interested in future roles in Developer Relations or Community Management.
Apart from this role we are also looking for a Developer Advocate (Community) (https://www.embark-studios.com/jobs/843248-internship-developer-advocate-community).
But you might be a mix of both! Let us know in your cover letter how you think you'd best fit into our team.
As a Developer Advocate Intern at Embark on our Developer Experience project, you'll work with our core engineering team to help make our platform intuitive and easy to use for developers. You'll be building small experiences on top of the platform almost every day, and using your insight to help write documentation and guides. You'll also research and build on other platforms and learn from their developer experience.
Who You Are:
- You're a developer who loves building things with software, especially fun demos that showcase technology.
- You know that documentation can make or break a platform, and you care about writing accessible, easy to understand documentation.
- You have experience writing technical tutorials, blog posts, guides, or similar to teach others about how to use a technology you love.
Bonus:
- You have experience working on open source projects.
- You have experience with game design or development.
- You have experience building in a game engine such as Unity or Unreal, or in other creation tools like Roblox, Dreams, or Minecraft.
- You have experience working on an API, SDK, or tech platform product.
Our internships have flexible start dates and durations, but we'd like you to be able to work with us full-time for 4-6 months, with a start date between August 1 and November 1 2020. We are open to remote candidates.
In your application, please include a short cover letter about why you're interested in developer advocacy and community and list links to any game jam or hackathon projects you've made, posts you've written, events you've organised, and any other relevant info.
